Lauren Michelle

Biography

Lauren Michelle is an American actress and internationally recognized soprano from Los Angeles. A graduate of UCLA and The Juilliard School, she has performed with leading opera companies in the United States and Europe, including the Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, LA Opera, and Washington National Opera. She was a prize winner at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition and won both the Lotte Lenya Competition and Marcello Giordani International Vocal Competition. Michelle appeared as opera singer Gia Copeland on the Fox series Empire, where her performance was incorporated into the show's music. Her screen credits also include Michael Jordan: An American Hero and Lisbon Okafor's Ten-Cent Daisy, in which she stars in the title role as Daisy.
